Our Dogs
We at MarathonK9 Academy, LLC pride ourselves on the development of our dogs for various disciplines. It is our goal to develop a breeding program that will satisfy the needs of depts. and people who are looking to work a dog in a variety of disciplines that require a solid, stable working dog. We have a partner, overseas in Holland, we work with that has started dogs and finished for police or personal protection, as well as an affiliate here in the United States who has started dogs as well. Depending on the dog, you can expect to pay anywhere from $6,000USD to $15,000USD which encompasses shipping the dog, training, health testing, etc. per dog. Adult dogs are DNA tested for any genetic abnormalities and have their hips radiodiographed prior to sale. Puppies ranging from $1,500USD to $2,500USD. We know there are people out there charging extravagant prices for dogs with nothing to show for them. We guarantee the dogs we source are worth their price, so let us know what you are looking for and how we can help you. We are also developing a breeding program to produce puppies that we will be offering for competition folks as well as to raise in our foundation police dog program. And of course we occasionally do have washouts that are ok as companion dogs. Families of active duty or retired military personnel receive a discount on purchase of dog.

This dog was pulled from possibly being put in an animal shelter by Westminster Animal Control where he was then relinquished to me, after he had been purchased by an elderly woman who bit off more than she could chew. Currently at 65lbs, he's a stout dog who got away with a lot. With impulse control he has learned to be respectful of boundaries. Jake is not suitable for work as he lacks the intensity we look for in hunting for odor, or having a high prey/toy drive. Instead he would be suitable for an active companion home. He has AKC papers with notable Ot Vitosha bloodlines that will be given to his new owner once adopted.
